Due to growing competition in the energy and environment market, we believe it is important to highlight DANISH know-how and companies' national background as a competition parameter on a demanding, yet promising market like the Polish one. The demand for new technologies and expertise is favourable. Danish companies will have numerous, cost effective opportunities (project activities) to establish profitable and long term relationships with Polish business partners at the municipal level, that are in need of the Danish environmental technologies and solutions. Calendar of the arranged by the Embassy activities is adjusted every year. These are, for example, roadshow seminars, joint fair exhibitions or 1 day study tours. You can track the historic events on our websites, and get acquainted with the planned ones here. It is possible for Danish companies to participate in only one of the proposed activities and become the Danish Islands project partner this way. Being a project partner gives Danish companies certain benefits, e.g. our constant alertness to the situation in the market of their interest and our targeted follow up services from there. Details are presented in the project offer, which we would be pleased to send out upon request. Energy and environment enjoys great political and social interest in Poland now - in particular thanks to the vast amount of EU Structural Funds assigned for Poland. Polish investors are more prone to invest in solutions of higher quality, when investments are supported by external sources. Danish companies should maintain their focus on export markets, which continue to perform relatively better than others, and show positive growth rates – this is the case for the Polish market. 2009 and 2010 are the years to focus on EU-structural funds related to environment and energy projects. The Embassy is able to provide you with full information on that opportunity.
